Cape May is not the same Cape May without the Beach.
Many people
helped in whatever way they could to save this Cape May landmark. Sadly
their efforts and ours were not enough. The auditorium was demolished in the
fall of 2011. Aside from a vacant lot, what remains are financial obligations the Foundation must still try to
meet. So we need your help. Any tax-deductible donation is
truly appreciated. We will send you a commemorative print as a token of our
appreciation for your gift or $55, $80. or more. Please see below.
Cape May's historic Beach Theatre opened June 29, 1950, the child of
renowned theater architect William Harold Lee. The 860-seat movie house
debuted with Father of the Bride.
The theatre auditorium was demolished in October 2011. The facade,
without the familiar neon "Beach Theatre" sign, still stands.
Donate today and receive a commemorative print of this original painting by Clayton Thomas as our gift to you. Unframed print is 12" by 18.25".
